Gerardo Discepolo Joins Gemeinhardt
Elkhart, IN., March 15, 2005 – Bob McKinley, president and CEO of Gemeinhardt Company, LLC, announced today the appointment of Gerardo Discepolo as executive vice president of marketing and product development.
A visible and influential member in the music manufacturing industry for many years, Discepolo is a veteran marketing professional as well as an accomplished flautist with international acclaim. He has an MBA from Purdue University, a masters of music degree from Florida State University and a doctorate of musical arts from the University of Alabama. Among his many awards is a Fulbright scholarship and a fellowship from the Norwegian Royal Minister of Foreign Affairs to perform Norwegian flute repertoire in the Americas.
Most recently, Discepolo was president of the Haynes flute company and vice president of Boston-based Eastman Winds. Prior to that, he held positions at Conn-Selmer (marketing manager) and Powell flutes (vice president and director of marketing).
